Engineering and Site Hazard Evaluation

Biostratigraphic data is used for engineering site and hazard surveys in terrestrial and marine environments. Microfossil data can be very useful for determining timing, magnitude and possible future consequences of faulting, slumping and other movement processes in relatively young and/or unconsolidated sediments, and for understanding the engineering properties.
